Bean sprouts are the young shoots of the mung bean. They are crunchy and have a subtle nutty flavour. Add them to meats, tofu, vegetables or cooked into stir-fries. Stir-fry beansprouts for no longer that 30 seconds to prevent wilting and maintain their crunchy texture.  Do not eat bean sprouts raw.
